BuildNext was founded by Victoria Suen and Smith Milner with a shared vision to revolutionize how homeowners, developers, and builders approach residential densification projects—from backyard ADUs to full-scale multiplex developments.

As a leading architect and recognized expert in infill development and multiplex housing, Victoria has successfully guided 100+ projects across Toronto and beyond. Through this work, she witnessed firsthand the inefficiencies and complexities that slow down the building process—from zoning and feasibility studies to permits and construction.

This sparked a collaboration with Smith Milner to explore cutting-edge research and emerging AI technologies to streamline every stage of the process. Together, they launched BuildNext as a platform designed to simplify and accelerate the journey from concept to completion.

Our goal is to leverage technology and data-driven insights to transform the building experience— making infill development faster, simpler, and more accessible for everyone.
